Not sure how many of you kept your fingers crossed for me but someone must have as I am now the very proud owner of the below mentioned dress. And it has already arrived at my friends daughters house.
Now comes the very excruciating and exciting wait to get it sent over here and then try it on to see if it will fit. And if it doesn’t, well then it will become a very beautiful art piece on the wall.

Coast has together with V&A created six gowns inspired by the very popular exhibition “Ballgowns” (which they stopped showing in January unfortunately). I saw pictures of the dresses this morning and one in particular caught my eye. Those of you who know me know that I have a passion for vintage dresses and this one hit that cord with a big, sounding bang.
I. Needed. To. Own. That. Dress.
Period.
So, after having asked a friend nicely if I could send it to her daughters address in the UK (as they of course doesn’t ship this collection abroad…it’s only made for the UK market. Sigh) I proceeded to order it. They only had my size left so thought that hey, could be my lucky day here. But no, it’s sold out on the website so now we’ll have to wait and see if they have it in one of the stores so it can be sent to me. If not, Ebay it is. As I said. That dress has to be mine.
