It’s going to be a witchy, witchy night

Standard

It’s that time of the year again. The kettle is polished, the cat brushed and the broom dusted. Off to Blåkulla and the other witches we go.

Happy Easter everyone!

(In Sweden Maundy Thursday (skärtorsdagen) is connected to old folklore as the day of the witches. Young children often dress up as witches and knock on doors getting coins or candy for easter eggs.)

You can’t be sad if you eat a waffle

Standard

Today it’s Waffles Day back in Sweden – and believe it or not, it’s quite well celebrated! And I do miss my waffles. The Swedish kind. Thin and crispy. With jam and cream.

If I am very, very lucky I might have a waffle mix at home (I admit, am far too lazy to make my own) and if so, then my dinner is pretty much sorted. Yes, dinner. Who said waffles could only be had for breakfast… 🙂

Yum, yum!
