I am not a huge fan of mermaid dresses but I must admit that I quite like the one (by Christopher Bu) that Fan BingBing  wore in Cannes. Or, I like the fabric of the dress more than the shape but guess it would’t come across as well in any another one than that of a vase (or rather, mermaid) so I’ll let it pass 🙂

Even if I like it though, it is not quite up there with the Roberto Cavalli “Ming vase dress”, famously worn by Victoria  Beckham back in 2005. That dress is the exception to my rule.
